Why An External Braille Keyboard?
Most blind people use a standard QWERTY type keyboard when working with a computer. In a number of cases however, when it comes to editing grade two Braille, writing mathematics or music Braille for example, using a Braille keyboard makes a lot of sense. And an ergonomically designed Braille keyboard like Braille In will ease your work even when you have to work on long documents.
Easy Installation
Braille In does not require any resident software to work with your computer. You connect Braille In to your PC just like you connect a standard keyboard: you plug it into the keyboard port.
Braille In comes with your national Braille code and keyboard emulation pre-installed. If you need another configuration, you connect the Braille keyboard's configuration port to the serial port of your computer and load the new translation table into Braille In's flash-ROM.
Full 102 Key Keyboard Support
Braille In can emulate all functions of your PC keyboard, including all those key combinations with Shift, CTRL, ALT, etc. If you think that remembering those sometimes strange Braille combinations might be a problem, just plug your QWERTY keyboard into Braille In. Both keyboards will work together seamlessly.
