For more than 30 years, Papenmeier has designed and manufactured leading edge technology for people who are visually impaired. Since BRAILLEX - the first electronic device in the world that made use of a refreshable Braille display - was introduced in 1975, Braille displays and access technology for the blind have been one of the most important focuses of Papenmeier's activities.
